Kelly Farrell, Met Office. Cosmic is a fantastic place to sit exams. I felt very welcomed when I went in for both the initial introduction to the ICDL and to sit the exams. It is a very warm and friendly place. I felt very at ease sitting the exams. Despite being in a room with other people dropping in and out I didn't find this a distraction. In fact, it made me feel more relaxed and less like I was sitting an exam. Email contact was superb. The staff were very helpful and I always got a speedy reply.

I have now been using COSMIC for many years in creating a very large database for my town - the Sidmouth Website. Each week I deliver CDs and email updates for the web team to continueously update the information to this website.They have become part of the family with my contact with them, and certainly the skills and enthusiasm have brought my website from a dream to reality. Visit to COSMIC in March 2005, Hilary Norman Head of the Social Enterprise Unit at the Department for Trade and Industry, with the COSMIC team.

COSMIC is a most effective organisation." Indeed the visit to COSMIC was one of the highlights of my trip. I remain most impressed by those things you have listed: the vision and the values. However, I was also most impressed by the quality of the leadership that I experienced, and you are part of that group of strong, visionary leaders who have given me much to contemplate, and an example to emulate. In particular after visiting COSMIC I have decided that Djerriwarrh must significantly upgrade our IT systems and skills. We have the building blocks, and so can relatively easily develop much greater expertise there. We are also going to forge ahead with on line learning. As we get somewhere I will endeavour to send some links to you so that you can see what we've done. It may be of some interest in your own developments.
