COSMIC launches new service with SitesPlus

COSMIC have launched their new web service, SitesPlus, for micro charities and businesses. This is a self-build website service which gives clients a cost-effective way to get their organisation online.
 
SitesPlus is a subscription service allowing users complete control over their website style and content. They can update their websites quickly and easily and can include a shopping cart. It includes all the support they need to get going too.

RISE has a new Chief Executive

COSMIC is very proud to announce that our own Chief Executive, Julie Harris has been appointed as acting Chief Executive at RISE which is the regional body which supports social enterprises across the South West. Julie will be working at RISE part-time and on a one year secondment, and at the same time continue her key role in leading at COSMIC.
 

COSMIC in Top 100 Social Enterprises

Last night was the Awards event for the new RBS SE100 Index which is a newly established listing of social enterprises across the UK. The awards recognised winners in three categories within the list – impact, growth and newcomers. COSMIC was shortlisted in the Impact Champions awards and in a very closely run contest we came runner-up. Overall winners were FRC Group in Liverpool and we send our congratulations to everyone at FRC for their achievement.

Social Audit Panel

Today is Social Audit Panel day at COSMIC and we are looking forward to welcoming Social Auditors Debbie Stewart from CEU, Carl Haggerty from Devon County Council, and Maria Donoghue-Mills previously of Novas-Scarman. The Panel will spend the day going over the socia accounts which have been produced, and conducting some ‘audit trail’ activities to prove that what we’ve said about our findings, consultation exercises and evaluation results are accurate and well articulated.

Cosmic sails through IIP assessment

Cosmic is delighted to report that it continues to be recognised as an Investor in People.  As part of the IIP process COSMIC carried out extensive consultation with all those it works with (including staff) to gain feedback and look at ways that it can continue to improve. 

Julie Harris, Chief executive of COSMIC said, ‘I am thrilled that cosmic has once again retained its IIP award for the 3rd time, whilst we are always confident that our company is supportive to all of our people it is nice to have this verified by IIP’.
