Honiton Community College Photo Competition

The second Honiton Community College Community Photo Competition was held on 26th January.  The subject was ‘Honiton and District - celebrating its people, locations and community’.
Mr Slade said the competition was a huge success with over 40 entries which was narrowed down to a strong finalist field of 23.

Five SW graduates attain certificates for Leadership in Social Enterprise

On Wednesday 7th September ‘Cosmic College’ held a graduation event at its Honiton HQ.  The event was for the pilot Pioneers who successfully completed Cosmic’s first Leadership in Social Enterprise qualification.  The course was a pilot project funded through the European Social Fund.

RISE website redesign live

Cosmic redesigned the RISE website and the results are now live.
The brief was to make the website clearer and bring it up to date, with a focus on the many pieces of news and information that are important to the Social Enterprise sector.
 
The new presentation has made the information easier to see straight away and is categorised into types of content for ease of navigation.
 

COSMIC celebrates 2nd year in a row Shortlisting for National Impact Award

Staff and directors at Cosmic are celebrating the news that for the 2nd consecutive year we have been shortlisted in the national RBS100 Awards in the category of Impact Champion. These national awards are specifically aimed at recognising social enterprises which are maintaining excellent standards of work and systems, and in this category its all about evidencing the social impact which organisations are achieving.

Pluss goes live

The new Pluss website designed and built by Cosmic has now gone live.

Pluss needed a new website that evoked the great work they do as soon as a visitor arrived at their website. We spent time with Pluss working out the most straight forward website architecture and top level pages.
Under which they can store their welath of useful information for their varied user group.

It is this initial simplicity of message and clarity that was the driving factor during the websites production and will continue through it's ongoing development.

My Learning Pool Launches in South West

My Learning Pool are launching their brand new e-learning modules created specifically for the third sector here in the South West.

My Learning Pool is the online training resource for community and voluntary groups, small charities, social enterprises and all those individuals involved in civil society. It gives those who offer their time to their community the training to grow their knowledge and therefore the impact they make.

Cosmic AGM 2011

The Cosmic Annual General Meeting for 2011 will be taking place on Thursday 24th March 2011 at 6pm, at Ridgeway House, Ottery St Mary.

There will be a reception for members before the AGM, starting at 5pm, which will provide a chance to meet the staff team and to discuss achievements, projects and progress from 2010.
