ASC Devon: Future Leaders

This programme, fully funded by Devon County Council, is designed to support the Care industry in Devon. No matter what type of care provider your business is, you can be eligible to benefit from these training events.

The ASC Devon: Future Leaders project consists of 12 training workshops, split into two groups. Attendees can choose to attend a mix of the workshops, designed to meet a variety of needs. The aim is to build skills, knowledge and confidence in the leaders, managers, team leaders, owners and senior staff within care businesses in the region.

Future Leaders is about supporting the industry to grow, thrive and prosper in a sustainable way, for the years ahead. 

Programme 1: The Team Leader Education Programme

Consists of 5 workshops which will support the development of Team Leaders (or prospective team leaders) within Adult Social Care businesses in Devon.

The programme will focus on five key areas (click the links to book):

  1. Person-Centred practice for positive outcomes
  2. Building a resilient team
  3. Managing people & performance
  4. Monitoring & improving service delivery
  5. Managing yourself & your wellbeing

The sessions are suited to new team leaders or staff who are soon to take on more responsibility and make that transition into managing others.

Programme 2: The Leadership Development Programme

Consists of 7 workshops designed to support the leadership and management development of owners/managers of Adult Social Care businesses in Devon.

The programme will focus on seven key areas (click the links to book):

  1. Building your business strategy
  2. Organisational quality assurance
  3. Digital business and new technologies
  4. Supporting workers’ mental health
  5. Performance management strategies
  6. Organisational culture and change management 
  7. Improving sales and marketing.

The sessions are ideal for busy managers and those in positions of authority who would like to focus on their own leadership and management skills. During this time of uncertainty, change and disruption, strong leadership skills are vital to lead staff and resources effectively. This series of workshops are essential to support your organisation through difficult times.

All sessions  will be delivered virtually and clients have the option to pick & mix which sessions they attend.

This programme is for businesses running in Devon County districts only. This means Plymouth, Torbay and all districts outside of Devon are not eligible to attend these workshops. Please do not attempt to book places if you are not eligible.
