Cosmic, the award-winning digital consultancy & social enterprise, are seeking Digital Skills Trainers to join our energetic and growing team.
The Role
You will work closely with businesses, communities and individuals across the South West and beyond - providing training and insight into digital skills. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is passionate about digital technologies, digital developments and operations, digital marketing and social media, and who wants to share this passion with the wider public.
A successful candidate will have strong experience in training or teaching and be confident presenting to groups and individuals. Their sense of enthusiasm and passion for helping people to be successful and to make the most of technology must shine through! This role is for people who have great energy - presenting and mentoring virtually and in-person - meeting new people every day.
The role is demanding, but rewarding. Every day workshop sessions range from social media strategies, to Microsoft 365 basics, through to Search Engine Optimisation and selling online. Sometimes you may be presenting to a group, sometimes you will be supporting budding-entrepreneurs in a 1-to-1 environment.
We have an amazing team who will support you with your knowledge and help you to grow in your skills. We can help train you, but some solid foundations would help and you will be expected to develop new content and materials for your sessions.
Cosmic is based East Devon and operates across the South West, so this role requires you to be able to drive and have access to a car. Since 2020, all of our training has been remote, but we anticipate a blended approach going forward.
What are we looking for?

Good experience in teaching or training

Strong grasp of new digital & tech trends for businesses (small and large)

Fast learner with ability to communicate well with audiences in a professional way

Someone who can show empathy and build a rapport with customers

Good grasp of Microsoft 365/ GSuite, Social media and other popular software platforms

Full UK driving licence
The training team deliver programmes of support for a number of commissioned projects, working with multiple projects at any one time. They also take private commissions from organisations wanting training support. So the ideal candidate needs to be adaptable, well organised and happy to work as part of a dynamic team.
Term: This role is contracted until December 2022. It is funded by the European Social Fund, in partnership with HM Government.
Based: Blended homeworking and able to attend training appointments across Devon, Somerset and neighbouring counties.
