We are looking for an enthusiastic detailed-focused person to manage the projects and people in our exciting and award-winning training team.

Role Description:

A) To programme manage Cosmic's Training and Consultancy projects on behalf of the Company, ensuring successful planning, delivery and reporting. To ensure effective and efficient processes are in place to support delivery plans, monitoring performance and providing supervision and support to project staff.   

B) To directly manage the members of the Programme Administration Team and monitor and review resource requirements to match project demands. 

C) To directly manage the members of the Digital Skills Training Team and monitor and review resource requirements to match project demands.   

D) To manage funded projects on behalf of the Company ensuring successful planning, delivery and reporting. To ensure effective and efficient processes are in place to support all delivery plans, monitoring performance and providing supervision and support to project staff.   

This role may be part-funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund and may also include work on European funded projects, including Growth Support Programme and Digital Advantage, both funded by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). 

Key Result Areas: 

  • To develop effective delivery plans and review, revise and report 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the projects and the team 
  • Effective management, support and supervision of all project staff  
  • Identify and manage the resources needed for project delivery 
  • Assign roles, responsibilities and competencies for tasks and events 

Major Duties:  

  1. Manage and supervise training staff for the contracts, ensuring full compliance with ERDF, ESF, and other commissioners' processes and regulations. 
  2. To liaise closely with the key personas at relevant partner organisations.  
  3. Create and manage systems to support effective delivery, monitoring and reporting.  
  4. Manage effective financial monitoring systems for this project in line with EU and other regulations.
  5. Produce regular project reports for the CEO Board and project commissioners.  
  6. To liaise with project commissioners to ensure systems and processes are maintained as per requirements. 
  7. To develop and maintain relationships with stakeholder groups and project partners. 
  8. Ensure that training quality standards are met and developed through project delivery. 
  9. Support the development of successful strategies for continuation of project activities including self-sustaining groups, signposting to other forms of support within the project and support for bids for future funding.
  10. To be a good listener, approachable, patient, clear with good presentation skills, and to excel in all communications. 
  11. To uphold the values and ethos of Cosmic as a Social Enterprise. 
  12. Other duties as required in line with the responsibilities of this post.
