Today at Cosmic HQ we interveiwed one of the newest members of our team Liam Sparks who has joined us on a traineeship. We thought we’d ask Liam some questions to help everyone get to know him better!

What do you ‘actually’ do here?

I am a Digital Assistant, meaning I support companies with their social media and websites making sure they are up to date and check to see who’s talking about them online and let them know when they receive a message. I also write blogs from time to time as well.

What is your favourite part of working here so far?

My favourite part about working for Cosmic, and this will sound kind of cheesy, but it is learning new things like what is ‘SEO’ and how to use it, finding out about great ways to use social media and the impact of what you say on it can have. Also I can’t forget the amazing sandwich van that comes around playing the A-Team theme tune that gets me smiling every time and the sandwiches are amazing!

What is your must do job on a daily basis?

My must do job on a daily basis is to check the social media for a few things to make sure that no relevant information is passed over and that anything that needs to be passed, re-mentioned or retweeted.

How is Cosmic different to other places that you’ve worked?

Cosmic is a different place to work compared to other jobs I’ve had because it’s a very close group of people and very friendly. If I have any issues I can easily e-mail or pop to the persons desk and ask them. Even with the fast pace of the work place no matter what they always have time to help.

Briefly, describe your typical working day at Cosmic HQ.

My typical working day will usually involve writing tweets and Facebook statuses, updating websites with news and blogs for customers, checking e-mails and anything that I can help with really.

What do you do outside of work?

Outside of work I am a bit of a nerd. During the winter and the rubbish weather days I like to play on my PC which I built and customised for gaming. I also help out with a gaming community for a Twitch.tv streamer so I get to see how servers for games work behind the scenes! During the warmer weather I love to go kayaking and will go any chance I can.

What is your claim to fame?

I once met the Queen when I was in Army Cadets to celebrate 150 years of the cadet force.

If you ruled the world, what one law would you bring in?

My one law would be… That internet was a human right and everyone should have access to it!

Finally, tell us one interesting fact about yourself.

I was only born with nine toes!
