Somerset Start and Grow – Programme is Now Complete, but Support is Still Available
The Somerset Start and Grow programme provided fully funded business support to individuals, start-ups and small businesses across Somerset.
It was funded by Somerset Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered by Business Information Point (BIP), in partnership with Cosmic.
How the Programme Worked
The programme combined one-to-one advice with practical workshops, helping people start and grow their businesses with confidence. Participants worked with experienced advisors to create tailored action plans across strategy, marketing, finance, operations and digital tools.

- Supported 27 businesses
- Welcomed 42 attendees
This amounted to 84 hours of dedicated support, offering practical guidance, skills development, and valuable opportunities to help local businesses grow.
