Social Impact Report 2025
Our Year in Action
Behind every number is a real person and a real outcome.
A Year of Measured Impact and Practical Change
Cosmic’s 2025 Social and Environmental Impact Report captures a year of strong delivery, deepened partnerships and clearer evidence of the difference digital skills can make. Across employment, digital inclusion, business productivity and sustainability, we focused on practical outcomes, supporting people and organisations to build confidence, capability and resilience in a rapidly changing digital world.
Supporting People into Work and Opportunity
In 2025, Cosmic delivered 23,633 hours of training and support, helping 4,571 people build essential digital skills and supporting 271 people into employment. Through employability and digital inclusion programmes, participants gained the confidence to use technology independently, access online services and progress towards sustainable work. Behind every figure is a real story of change, from people re‑entering the workforce to those overcoming long‑standing barriers to digital access.
Strengthening Businesses and Communities
Alongside frontline employability support, Cosmic worked with hundreds of businesses and organisations to improve productivity, digital capability and leadership. From AI and automation training to workplace digital skills, cybersecurity and sustainability support, our programmes helped organisations save time, make better decisions and adapt to future ways of working. This support reached businesses, charities and public sector organisations across the South West, Wales and the wider UK.
Learning, Collaboration and the Ripple Effect
2025 also marked an important year of learning and collaboration. Following the publication of FutureDotNow’s Ripple Effect report, Cosmic tested the use of its digital confidence archetypes within our own delivery, applying them retrospectively across key programmes. This work supported FutureDotNow’s research by exploring how the framework functions in real‑world delivery, helping strengthen evidence around the relationship between digital skills, confidence and social outcomes.
Evidencing Social Value More Clearly
2025 marked an important milestone in how we understand and communicate impact. For the first time, Cosmic translated key outcomes into formal social value estimates using recognised frameworks. Using a conservative methodology aligned with the TOMs model, we estimate that £6.1 million of social value was created through our work in 2025. This reflects employment outcomes, accredited training and apprenticeships, alongside wider improvements in confidence and skills.
Looking Ahead
As Cosmic approaches 30 years of delivering social impact, this report reflects an organisation that is not only delivering at scale, but also strengthening how impact is measured, learned from and improved. We remain committed to ensuring that everyone can use digital to succeed, now and in the future.
