AI Readiness, Governance, and Digital Visibility

Is your organisation ready for AI?

Artificial intelligence is changing how people discover organisations online

Instead of scrolling through pages of search results, people are increasingly receiving direct answers from tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Gemini.

The question is no longer:

“Can people find your website?”

It is becoming:

“What is AI saying about your organisation?”

What is AI readiness?

AI readiness is a measure of how effectively artificial intelligence systems can:

  • Find your content
  • Understand your expertise
  • Interpret your services correctly
  • Present accurate information to potential customers
  • Recommend your organisation when people ask questions

Most organisations already have much of the information they need.

The challenge is that websites, documents and content are often not structured in ways that AI can easily interpret.

Our approach

We believe AI readiness is not primarily a technology project.

It is a content, knowledge and organisational challenge.

The organisations seeing the greatest benefit are not necessarily investing in complex AI systems. They are making their information clearer, strengthening digital foundations and helping their people understand how AI is changing the way organisations are found online.

Our role is to provide independent advice, practical recommendations and the confidence to make informed decisions.

      Assumptions and access requirements

An AI Readiness Audit can be undertaken using publicly available information from your website and other online sources. This provides a valuable baseline assessment and identifies many opportunities for improvement.

However, the most accurate and actionable recommendations are typically achieved when additional access is available. Depending on the scope of the review, this may include:

      • Content Management System (CMS) access
      • CMS user guides or platform documentation
      • Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
      • Google Search Console
      • Bing Webmaster Tools
      • Internal search analytics
      • Customer journey or conversion data
      • Existing SEO reports or audits
      • Content governance and publishing processes
      • Relevant digital strategy documents

Access to these systems allows us to validate assumptions, identify content performance trends, understand user behaviour and prioritise recommendations based on evidence rather than observation alone.

      Limitations

Where access is not available, findings will be based on publicly accessible information and industry best practice. Recommendations should therefore be regarded as advisory rather than exhaustive.

Some AI readiness improvements may also be constrained by:

      • Third-party website platforms
      • Proprietary software
      • Template-based website builders
      • Hosting provider restrictions
      • Available internal resources
      • Technical limitations of existing systems

In these situations, we will always seek to identify practical alternatives and prioritise improvements that can be delivered within the constraints of the current platform.
