Free Support to Help You Find Work and Rebuild Your Career
Struggling to get back into work?
The Restart Scheme provides up to 12 months of free support for people who’ve been receiving Universal Credit and are in the Intensive Work Search Regime (IWS) for 9 months or more. Part of the UK Government’s Plan for Jobs, this scheme is designed to help you build the skills and confidence to find meaningful employment.
What Does the Restart Scheme Offer?
In partnership with Seetec Pluss, we at Cosmic are delivering tailored support to help people rebuild their careers, especially those impacted by COVID-19.
The Restart Scheme helps build confidence, skills and the ability to move back into work. Our trainers at Cosmic work closely with people on their tailored plan that helps them to reach their work and life goals,
Our digital curriculum is mapped to the national Essential Digital Skills framework.
1:1 Coaching:
Receive personalised coaching to build your confidence and guide you through your job search.
Digital Skills Workshops:
Learn the essential digital skills you need to apply for jobs, update your CV, and succeed in today’s job market.
Job Search Support:
We’ll help you brush up your CV, prepare for interviews, and connect with local employers who are hiring.
Tailored Action Plan:
Whether you’re changing careers or looking to re-enter your previous field, we’ll create a plan based on your skills and goals.
Eligibility for the Restart Scheme
To join the Restart Scheme, you must:
- Be in receipt of Universal Credit and in the Intensive Work Search (IWS) regime for 9 months or more (including time spent on Jobseeker’s Allowance).
- Have no sustained earnings at the point of referral.
- Not be participating in any other DWP Contracted Employment Provision.
How Does It Work?
Jobcentre Plus
Get in touch with your Jobcentre Plus work coach to see if you qualify for the Restart Scheme and begin the referral process.
Tailored Support
Once referred, you’ll receive a customised action plan from our team, including one-on-one coaching and access to skills workshops.
Ongoing Guidance
We’ll support you throughout your journey, helping you overcome challenges, update your skills, and secure a job that’s right for you.
