The rules had not changed. The platform had not changed. The prompt simply reached the model through a different language, and the model interpreted it differently. That is where hidden AI security risks start to appear.
Why this matters for businesses
Many organisations still treat AI safety as a product feature. They assume the platform handles the difficult part in the background.
That is too optimistic.
Businesses need to think about unsafe output, poor advice, compliance problems and reputational damage. A model can produce something that looks polished and credible, even when it should not be trusted. Speed makes that problem worse.

Even so, those controls do not remove the need for human judgement. Teams still need to understand the limits of the system. They also need to recognise that language can shape how the system responds.

That question matters more than many people realise.

Set clear rules for AI use at work

Treat prompting as a business skill
Prompting is often framed as a trick for getting better results. It is more important than that.
Good prompting helps people be clear and specific. Safe prompting helps them think about context, sensitivity and review. That matters even more when staff work across more than one language or use specialist wording.
Review outputs before they go anywhere
Human review still matters. AI content moderation has improved, but it still misses things. Businesses should check drafts, summaries, customer-facing copy and internal support materials before anyone uses them.
Build AI governance early
AI governance does not need to start with a long policy document. A shorter, clearer approach often works better.
Many organisations can begin with a simple internal guide, a named owner, a few ground rules and a shared understanding of when extra care is needed.

This is one of the biggest gaps right now.
Traditional cyber awareness training has focused on phishing, passwords, devices and access. Those areas still matter. At the same time, teams now need to understand AI security risks, prompt injection, data handling and the limits of built-in safeguards.
