Today the Cosmic team is having a special Christmas lunch at which we’ll be celebrating some many great events in our business during 2013. Awards, new projects, new partnerships and of course new staff. All of these things have brought with them plenty of reason for us to celebrate 2013 as a very good year. And for us the pinnacle of this success was being recognised and winning the National Digital Inclusion Tech 4 Good Awards, which has recently been the subject of a video produced by the sponsors of the Award at BT. Both the award and the video clearly present how Cosmic has for many years been working hard to ensure effective and successful work in digital inclusion, at the same time as developing our business and achieving a truly great service for our clients.
We have also been involved in a number of new and exciting projects and partnerships which have meant more work with new clients, beneficiaries and communities. These include our new Devon Digital Inclusion project which we have developed and now very active in delivering workshops, support sessions and mentoring across the Devon, Plymouth and Torbay area. Our key partners in this work are Citizens Online, Pluss and Campaign for Learning and they’ve all provided added value in the project so far and we look forward to achieving much more in the next few years of this project. We’ve also worked in a number of projects which sit outside of our digital focus a bit – for example we’ve been very pleased to work with the School for Social Entrepreneurs again this year, providing insights and workshops for their students who are developing new business plans and concentrating on how to achieve social impact in a range of business models. Our continued work and involvement with a very wide range and large number of businesses, organisations, charities and community groups is a big part of our business. In many cases our relationships with these clients has lasted for many, many years and we will continue in our focus on ensuring that our services and support are very focussed on customer needs and a top quality approach.
