Technical advice, support and training is on offer at four free Digital Drop-in sessions in Plymouth. Anyone with digital questions, problems or a thirst to find out more can drop in to the sessions and get advice on navigating the internet, using mobile phones and emails, basic computer maintenance and social media.
The Drop-In sessions are offered free of charge by Positive People, funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery Fund. The Positive People programme helps individuals who are out of work to build skills, confidence and motivation by developing plans for their future and learning digital skills.
Ben Fayter, Digital Trainer at Cosmic says,
The Positive People drop ins are open to anyone who has a question, niggle or problem relating to anything digital. We hope the sessions give people more confidence in using digital technology enabling them to progress in life, whether that be into work, training or becoming more socially active
He continues,
Visitors to previous Digital Drop-In sessions have improved their skills in specific programmes or refreshed their knowledge of a programme they haven’t used in a long while. We have also helped visitors feel safer online, update anti-virus protection on their own laptops and feel confident attaching documents to emails
The Plymouth Digital Drop-Ins are held at Moments Café, New George Street.
