October 18th 2018 is World Values Day. A day to celebrate and promote the importance of having values in our lives, in our work and in our behaviours. Cosmic place values at the core of what we do, using them to define our strategies, our actions and our goals. We try to ensure that all of the team at Cosmic apply these values in all aspects of our professional work.
The Cosmic core values are to be:

These values have helped to define who we are as an organisation, and we hope that our customers, partners, beneficiaries and all stakeholders can recognise these attributes to be true of Cosmic.
To celebrate the day, we have asked a small handful of the team at Cosmic to share some thoughts on the importance of our values.
Ben Fayter, Digital Trainer, Positive People:
"As it is with any role within cosmic, it is an integral part of mine to be Friendly & Supportive. We are working with some of the most vulnerable members of society. Engaging them with fun, appropriate, friendly and supportive platforms is essential to our work.
As many of our participants have limited exposure to technology, it is up to us to provide the knowledge they require to build better opportunities for themselves. We must do this in an ethical way, making sure Cosmic’s brand and reputation remains strong."
Verity Baum, Digital Skills Advisor:
"Cosmic allows you to be you. That’s pretty unique. Not many businesses allow you to be who you are.... but Cosmic does just that. It allows individuals to bring new ideas to the table, be involved in decisions the company makes. You feel valued and appreciated. Whilst I work 40 hours a week for a client and am not based in the Cosmic office - I still feel a massive part of the team. I guess our values to me are really a true reflection of who Cosmic is and who we all are.
I get to help individuals from all walks of life on a daily basis: supporting them on their journey into the digital world. There isn’t one day that’s the same; not one day I don’t smile and not one day that I don’t get to help someone. It doesn’t really get better than that!"
Jay James, Apprentice Web Developer:
"As an apprentice, I require support from other members of the web team because I am always learning new ways to do things and at Cosmic. It is not difficult to find support from each member of the web team, but also members of all teams across the business.
Websites designed by Cosmic are modern, bright and show the user quickly what the client does or services they offer. Websites at Cosmic are fun and exciting to use and develop because the web team believe in delivering the best websites to clients and the best end-user experience.
Each member of the web team has their own background knowledge that they bring to the table of website development, design, support, and security. The knowledge from each member is considered in the development and/or design of a website which makes the best user experience once the website is finished and live."
