A valued client of Cosmic’s since 2015, Pavilions Teignmouth engaged our team to undertake a redevelopment of their website. The existing website was operating on a legacy content management system that lacked modern functionality, scalability, and compliance with current web standards.
Cosmic migrated the Pavilions Teignmouth website to the WordPress content management framework, selected for its flexibility, extensibility, and user-friendly interface.
A core focus of the project was achieving compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), ensuring the site would be accessible to users with a range of disabilities. This involved structured semantic markup, keyboard navigation support, alternative text for media, and colour contrast optimisations – each carefully integrated to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard.
In addition to this, Cosmic implemented new pages and features on the website for an improved user experience.
