Brigstowe

Brigstowe, a Bristol-based AIDS charity, approached us via the Lloyds Bank Foundation with a clear need: to make their website clearer, easier to navigate, and better structured for their audiences.

We began with an initial consultancy engagement, guiding Brigstowe through the process of defining a developer-ready website brief. This included a rationalised content plan, user journey mapping, SEO considerations, and guidance on long-term support options.

Following the consultancy phase, Brigstowe invited us to competitive tender for the design and build of their new site. As a social enterprise with a strong track record in website delivery for charities and community organisations, we were delighted to be awarded the contract.

Our approach built on the consultancy work, translating the agreed brief into a fully realised site design. Key focus areas included:

  • Clear structure and navigation to improve user experience.
  • Accessible and inclusive design, ensuring compliance with WCAG standards upon delivery.
  • Content rationalisation to streamline messaging and reduce duplication.
  • SEO-friendly framework to support visibility and reach.
  • Ongoing support options to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement.

The project moved smoothly from planning into development, with close collaboration between Brigstowe’s team and ours at each stage.

The new website is now live and already receiving excellent feedback from stakeholders and users. Importantly, Brigstowe have a site that not only reflects their brand and mission but is also simple for their team to manage and evolve.

Direct feedback from Brigstowe highlights the strength of the working relationship:

“Pete has been amazing and his patience through this process has been much appreciated.”

This reflects the client-centred approach we take as a social enterprise, prioritising accessibility, collaboration, and long-term value.

  • A modern, accessible website that better serves Brigstowe’s audiences.
  • A structured, sustainable platform for future growth.
  • Positive feedback confirming improved clarity and usability.
  • Strengthened partnership, built on trust and understanding.
