A Year of Digital Transformation 

As we reflect on 2024, it’s clear that  some years don’t just pass, they define what’s possible. 

This year, Cosmic has empowered people, businesses, and communities across the South West through inclusive digital training, ethical tech solutions, and meaningful community support.  

Our 2024 Social & Environmental Impact Report captures a year of bold steps and real progress. 

Key Highlights from Our 2024 Impact 

Digital Skills & Empowerment 

4,571 individuals gained essential digital skills, opening the doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and new opportunities. From building confidence to launching online ventures, we’ve helped people embrace the digital world with clarity and courage.  

Workforce Support through Restart 

Through our Restart Programme, we delivered 6,847 hours of personalised support and helped 1,257 participants overcome digital exclusion. We have real success stories from Sarah, Laurence, Katherine and Annie which show how life-changing the right digital guidance can be. 

Supporting Charities & Small Businesses Online 

In 2024, we built or transformed 28 websites for charities, CICs, schools, and SMEs consequently creating accessible platforms to reach more people and deliver essential services. From REACH’s user-friendly redesign to One You Plymouth’s wellness tool, we proved that digital tools can amplify social impact. 

Sustainable Digital Futures 

Our journey toward net-zero digital services made real strides. From reducing our carbon emissions to offering greener tech alternatives, we’re proud to be helping organisations work sustainably while staying connected. 

Cybersecurity & Digital Resilience 

This year, our Tech Team handled 5,159 support requests and delivered 3,011 hours of expert IT support achieving a 98.6% satisfaction rate. We also helped charities like Help & Care gain Cyber Essentials Plus certification, boosting their digital security and resilience. 

Future-Focused Training 

We ran 308 workshops on AI, automation, cybersecurity, and digital leadership, reaching 561 organisations and 756 individuals, including farmers, freelancers, and rural microbusinesses. The result? More confident, digitally capable communities across the region.
