As an experienced Innovation Specialist Carolyn is responsible for companies in Innovate UK’s portfolio in the south west covering diverse sectors from health and life sciences to digital and Agri-tech. She’s worked in economic development for many years and was with the Business Growth Unit of Grant Thornton in London covering the whole of the UK.
She enjoys being an Executive Leadership coach and has run development programmes in coaching and leadership with her own consultancy company which she founded in 2005. A keen interest in digital inclusion and open learning began when working for the OU and Learndirect so she is delighted to be supporting Cosmic as an Executive Director.
In her spare time she runs a network of Fellows for the RSA in Devon and Somerset as well as a local book group and is one of the team behind the Exeter Literary Festival. She enjoys the beautiful Devon countryside regularly walking and cycling with friends and family and has been a keen skier for many years.
