I am a digital skills trainer for Cosmic. I am currently working on the Restart project, helping those that may be digitally excluded from the job market and giving them digital skills to help place them into a relevant job role. I love to see people’s confidence grow and they soon realise that technology isn’t so scary after all!
I have a teaching background; I was an online TEFL teacher for 4 years. I was also in Business operations for a large IT infrastructure company for 8 years. My varied career helps me to understand the employability market and the pitfalls people can face in this technological world.
In complete contrast to my career path so far, I have a Theatre background, gaining a 2:1 degree in theatre at Dartington College of Arts and have worked with theatre companies and amateur dramatics societies in my spare time for more than 20 years. During the pandemic, I had to swap my love of theatre for a new love of gardening and successfully and unsuccessfully (in equal measure!) grew veg in pots during the last 2 summers.
