My name is Ieuan Griffiths, and I joined Cosmic as Head of Finance in 2024. As a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, I have built broad experience across many areas of finance throughout my career.
I began my career training as an accountant with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. I later moved to London, where I spent much of my career working in the City. During that time, I worked for the Corporation of Lloyd’s, helping regulate the Lloyd’s insurance market, before moving into banking roles with HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group and RBS.
My background includes wholesale and international banking, which gave me the opportunity to work on short-term projects in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Germany and Spain. I also qualified as a corporate treasurer and served as Divisional Finance Director for the Lloyds corporate treasury department during the HBOS acquisition.
In 2011, I moved to the West Country for family reasons. Since then, I have continued to build my leadership experience in the South West. I spent seven years with a small financial services company in Exeter, followed by five years at Viridor, where I worked on business transformation projects, led the finance operations team and helped build a risk and internal controls platform.
At Cosmic, I am pleased to bring together my experience in finance, operations, risk and transformation. I look forward to supporting the organisation’s continued stability, growth and impact.
