I work as a Digital Skills Trainer on the RESTART project, which supports people who are unemployed to build confidence, develop new skills, and move closer to work. My focus is on making technology feel approachable rather than overwhelming, using an empathetic and person‑centred approach. I know new technology can feel intimidating, especially when you’re unsure where to start. By meeting each person where they are and tailoring sessions to their pace, I’ve seen firsthand how natural confidence can grow. Even small steps in digital skills can lead to meaningful change — improving self‑esteem, independence, and opportunities in both work and everyday life.
My background includes training as an Occupational Therapist, working in learning and development within an educational setting, and spending time self‑employed in countryside management. Each of these experiences has shown me how valuable transferable skills can be in opening the next door.
Outside of work, I love being outdoors, spending time with my family and animals, and unwinding with gaming — a perfect blend of natural and digital adventures.
