
Bridging the Digital Divide: How Cosmic and Sovereign Network Group Are Empowering Communities Through Digital Inclusion
In October 2024, Cosmic partnered with Sovereign Network Group (SNG) to launch a vital digital inclusion programme aimed at bridging the digital divide for housing tenants across the community. Recognising that access to digital skills is now essential to navigate modern life, this partnership set out to empower residents with the knowledge and confidence they need to thrive online.

The Support Programme
The programme offers a flexible blend of one-to-one support and workshop-based training, tailored to meet participants where they are on their digital journey. Whether it’s learning to connect with loved ones through video calls, using the internet to access essential services, or developing digital literacy to improve job prospects, the programme provides both the tools and the confidence people need to engage fully in the digital world. As a result of their tailored sessions and enhanced digital skills, residents have also been able to connect with SNG via email and their personalised online account, enhancing their customer experience.
Stuart, a participant in the programme, shares how this support has been a turning point in his journey.
“I had the opportunity to take part in training sessions that provided invaluable support in enhancing my skills and employability,” Stuart explains. “The sessions were structured in a way that really worked for me – Suzi, my trainer, would revisit previous topics to make sure everything stuck. It made a big difference to my confidence.”
Like many participants, Stuart found the training not only informative but motivating.“What I enjoyed most was learning something new that I could actually use. Adding new skills to my CV felt like progress – it reminded me that I was still growing and learning.”
For Stuart, the impact was more than just technical know-how; it was about self-belief and forward momentum.
“The support I received from Cosmic has significantly impacted both my personal and professional development. I feel more prepared and more confident to apply for jobs now. It’s been an essential step in my journey toward employment.”
Through this partnership, Cosmic and SNG are proving that digital inclusion is about more than teaching skills — it’s about opening doors, building confidence, and creating pathways to opportunity. As the programme continues, participants like Stuart are turning digital knowledge into real-world progress, showing the transformative power of inclusive, community-focused support.
